Walking past a field on the Cornish Coast one sunny afternoon, a herd of curious Jersey Cows padded over. It was almost as though they were talking amongst themselves! The sunshine warmed their coats and altered the colour to all sorts of pinks and camels. They stood, calmly watching us, waiting to see our next move. Jersey cow’s eyes are so huge! They’re almost like live teddy bears, so cuddly, so calming. I couldn’t resist capturing their expressions on canvas and this one had to be big! No small canvas would have satisfied my urge to paint these beautiful cows.
