Horses at Wilmcote Stratford-Upon-Avon Fine Art Original

Three friendly horses welcomed me as I walked the footpath across their field at Wilmcote. The stunning surrounding scenery exuded a sense of calm, as the breeze brushed my hair from my face. Two ladies sat at the top of the hill on a nearby bench for them to admire the view.

I returned, two days later to paint the horses en plein air and with the wind blowing around me, put brush to canvas. Oh how I longed to sing at the top of my voice! The pure joy of the scenery of Shakespeare’s Stratford-Upon-Avon!

My three newly found horse friends came to say hello, resting their muzzles on the nearby fence. Inquisitive noses sniffing the air. I’m certain they encouraged me on. Not one walker passed me by that day so I way able to indulge away in my passion. Bliss. Pure bliss.
